George Lollback signed a petition for a telephone line to Ramornie, 1892.
His occupation was a butcher.
This is out of a book called "Ramornie Works -
The Story of the Ramornie Meat Works ",
and it lists all the family groups that worked and lived at Ramornie,
between the years 1865 and 1924. Quote item on page 67:
Lollback/Lellback: George Jacob married Esther Davidson.
George was a butcher at the meat works and lost two sons at Ramornie.
They were George Lollback, junior, who died on the 8th July 1911,
aged 18 years, and Jacob Edward Lollback who died on the 17th May 1899
aged 4 days. Both these boys were buried in the Ramornie Worker cemetery.
George's death certificate listed his Grandparents Jakob and Margaret as his parents.
There is a plaque that has been erected to the memory of the pioneers at Ramornie
by the Clarence River Historical Society that lists :
